This short book discusses all aspects of eating and drinking for a person with dementia. It includes strategies for ensuring that the person is able to continue enjoying their food, while at the same time making sure that they get the nutrients they need to stay as well as possible. It talks about some of the problems that can arise, and how to tackle them. Examples include ways of rekindling a person’s interest in food; strategies to make sure they don’t become dehydrated; and tips and tricks for good nutrition in hospitals and care homes. We hope the book will be helpful for individual carers and families, as well as for care home and hospital staff.
